Closing Early

The snow and wind is here, and we've decided to close at 4pm today! Stay home and stay safe. We'll be open again Friday and Saturday. Just make note, Saturday is our last day open before the holidays! If you can't make it this week, we'll see you in February!

Merry Christmas

Christmas is next week! Our last day open is Saturday the 22nd and hours are 10am to 4pm. Make sure to stop in and see us this week, Monday thru Friday from 10am to 6pm!

We're still taking winter items this week! When we open on February 1st, we'll start taking Spring! Lightweight sweaters and cardigans in light and bright colors are something we're looking forward to after all of the browns and blacks of fall and winter.

We have just marked down a large selection of the fur coats that are in on consignment! If you're looking to stay warm this winter, stop by and try a couple on. Your new fur coat could be on our racks.

If you still haven't cleaned out your fall closet, we are accepting fall and winter clothing right now. Remember, you have to plant that money tree if you expect to be putting fun money into your pocket for holiday shopping. If you're looking to consign clothing, and don't yet have an account set up, give us a call at 507-252-9717; we'll go over the ins and outs of consigning and set up a time specifically for you. If you're an established consignor, you're welcome to come on in with 5 to 20 items at any time. We'll see you soon!

NEWS FLASH!!!!!

The ladies at kismet will be taking a holiday/New Year break this year.

We will be CLOSED DEC. 23rd and REOPEN FEB. 1st.

But, have no fear, we will reappear on Friday, Feb 1st and will be accepting spring transitional clothing and PROM dresses.

Thinking ahead, believe it or not, we will be accepting Christmas decor beginning Oct. 1st through Dec. 1st. We are looking for unique and unusual items: folk, primitive, or woodsy cabin decor items. We do not take itty-bitty ornaments or lighted house villages.

The best time to catch Penny to review your household goodies is Mon-Sat 10-2.

With the autumn season upon us the time is NOW to get your clothing and home goods on the display for a full 90 day selling cycle.

In our lives, we find that we accumulate stuff, stuff, and more stuff. The time comes when cleaning out, sorting through, and downsizing becomes the task at hand.

Consigning is a great option to clear out items, make some cash, and feel the thrill of lightening your load.

Here are a few tips ...

1. Visit the consignment store of your choice, as each store caters to a specific niche, and see what kinds of items they take before bringing your items in for consignment.
2. We suggest you email pictures of larger items, such as furniture, for our review.
3. Home decor and smaller items may be brought in through the rear entrance of the kismet Central Store anytime we are open.
4. Bring small batches of items to keep your load light.
5. Christmas decor acceptance at kismet begins October 1st.
6. We are efficient in our selection process and very particular in making choices that fit current trends and reflect inventory levels we may already have.
7. Our contract covers all of the terms.
8. Remember, there is gold at the end of the kismet consignment rainbow.
9. Start today with a small box of goodies.

Summer is almost past, and we are now accepting Fall clothing items! No more capris, sandals, sun dresses, or straw purses; think dark, rich, colors, lightweight sweaters and shawls!

Fall is coming!

Fall isn't far off!  Kismet is getting ready to take in your Fall clothing and decorative items. 

August is Kismet Fashion's transition month, and as of August 1st, you can start bringing in your lighter-weight sweaters and darker colored tops.  Think brown, olive, and burgundy! 

Kismet Central is already accepting your Fall decorative items.  Stop in with your pumpkins, gourds, and garlands!

Want to plan ahead?  Start going through your closet and looking for your winter clothing items and boots.  September starts our winter acceptance period!
